Luís Pinto

Luís Pinto’s practice has a strong focus on finance, insurance, aviation, telecommunications, commercial contracts, banking and insurance-related regulatory issues and corporate matters.

Luís has been involved in several large financing and M&A international and domestic transactions, involving both regulated and unregulated target entities, and is experienced in conducting legal due diligence exercises, as well as negotiating, drafting and reviewing complex financial and other commercial contracts. Luís also works with insurance and banking clients in regulatory and compliance matters. He has experience in litigating for clients in criminal, civil and administrative courts, in cases involving commercial, regulatory, conveyancing and liability disputes, as well as bankruptcies.

He has extensive experience in company incorporations, corporate governance issues and domestic as well as cross-border financing, including secured syndicated loans.

Luís started his legal career as a trainee lawyer at JNV – Lawyers and Notaries in 2001, and is a practicing lawyer since 2003.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Macau in 2000 and in 2013 attended the MBA program of the Faculty of Business Administration at the same University. Luís is a member of the Macau Lawyers Association.

Luís is native in Portuguese and fluent in both oral and written English.
